Job summary

adesso India is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to support an AWS-based data platform. You will design and automate CI/CD, manage Terraform modules, and ensure reliability across Kafka/MSK, Snowflake, and data tooling.

You will work closely with engineering and data teams to optimize automation, scalability, and platform operations in a dynamic environment in Kochi, Kerala.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering or SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage GitHub repositories, branching, and workflows.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning.
• Provision, manage, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and services.
• Support and monitor Kafka/MSK clusters and Snowflake workloads.
• Implement and maintain configuration management with Ansible.
• Monitor platform health using Dynatrace or similar tools.
• Collaborate with data teams on dbt Cloud and Tableau integrations.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and ops efficiency across the platform.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to support and automate a modern AWS-based data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and platform operations. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, supporting data platform technologies, and driving automation across the engineering ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Manage GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and workflow automation.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning.
• Provision, manage, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and services.
• Work extensively with AWS services, including EKS, RDS, and MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka).
• Support, monitor, and troubleshoot Kafka/MSK clusters.
• Provide operational support for Snowflake, including:
  • Basic debugging and troubleshooting
  • Warehouse management
  • Stored procedures and automation
• Implement and maintain configuration management using Ansible.
• Monitor platform performance and system health using Dynatrace or similar observability tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to support tools such as dbt Cloud and Tableau.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency across the platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Amazon EKS, Amazon RDS, and AWS MSK.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka administration and troubleshooting.
• Operational knowledge of Snowflake, including warehouse management, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and data platform technologies.
