Job summary

ASAKTA seeks a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to manage on-premises Ubuntu infrastructure and optimize AWS resources for scalable deployments. You will containerize with Kubernetes, design and support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability across environments.

You will automate tasks with Python/Bash, collaborate with development teams, and uphold secure Git workflows while monitoring systems and incidents for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics.
• Strong Linux fundamentals incl. Ubuntu.
• Hands-on AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Kubernetes and Docker containerization experience.
• Experience building/managing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Familiarity with Terraform (IaC).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Event-driven architectures with Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Networking, load balancing, DNS management basics.
• QA automation integrated into CI/CD processes.
• Solid DevOps practices and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated with a learning mindset.

• Assist in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Kubernetes
• Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines for various environments
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
• Respond to system incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Develop tools/scripts in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders for seamless deployments
• Maintain and improve version control practices with Git
• Maintain security and compliance through secure CI/CD practices, secret management, and vulnerability scanning
• Handle cost optimization, scaling, and performance tuning in cloud environments.

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, particularly Ubuntu
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)
• Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python preferred)
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Understanding of networking, load balancing, and DNS management
• Experience integrating QA automation into CI/CD
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and principles
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset
