Job summary

Ample Success HR is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage scalable cloud infrastructure and ownership of production uptime from Bangalore. The role emphasizes independent work, proactive improvements, and advanced container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.

You will implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, automate pipelines, and ensure security/compliance across the lifecycle while supporting high-availability services.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of DevOps/SRE/Cloud Ops experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (Azure/WS preferred).
• Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience with cluster management.
• IaC with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Python/Go/Ruby for tooling and automation.
• Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Proactive, independent work style with initiative.
• Security and compliance awareness in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Senior DevOps Engineer

Experience: 5 –8 Years

Location: Bangalore

Type: Full-Time

Core Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proactive Maintenance: Independently identify system vulnerabilities and performance lags. You will be expected to own the uptime of our production environment.
• Deep-Dive Debugging: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex production issues. You don't just "restart the server"—you find the root cause in the code, network, or container orchestration.
• SLA Ownership: Define, monitor, and report on SLIs and SLOs. You will lead the charge in ensuring our systems meet or exceed 99.9% availability.
• CI/CD Optimization: Design and refine automated deployment pipelines to ensure seamless, frequent, and safe code releases.
• Security & Compliance: Implement automated security scanning, secret management, and compliance auditing within the DevOps lifecycle.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Operations.
• Cloud Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (Azure/WS preferred).
• Containerization: Advanced experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker, including cluster management and resource optimization.
• Automation: High proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Scripting/Coding: Strong ability to code in Python, Go, or Ruby to build custom internal tools and automation scripts.
• Observability: Hands‑on experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• The "Proactive" Factor: A proven track record of working independently. You should be someone who suggests improvements and executes them without needing constant supervision.
• Understanding of SRE principles and incident response practices
• Solid troubleshooting skills across systems, networking, and distributed applications
• Security-first mindset with experience in infrastructure security and compliance
