Job summary

TransUnion seeks a Sr Engineer, Development Ops to lead production DevOps efforts across cloud and on-prem environments. You will implement automation, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive reliability, collaborating with globally distributed teams.

You will modernize tooling, experiment with AI-enabled workflows, and participate in on-call rotations, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production container experience.
• Experience creating Jenkinsfiles or Ansible roles/playbooks.
• Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines in production.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-prem environments.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Strong proficiency in common Linux-environment skills/technologies (CentOS/RedHat, BASH, Git).
• Hands-on experience utilizing containers in a production environment.
• Experience creating Jenkinsfiles, Ansible roles/playbooks, or coding in any programming/scripting language.
• Willingness to participate in an alternating team-based on-call rotation.
• A strong desire to pursue AI usage and to "Automate all the things"
• Hands-on experience utilizing network devices such as Checkpoint or Palo Alto firewalls, BigIP F5 load balancers, Cisco CSR1000/8000 VPN, and VyOS Edge Routers
• Experience working with or administering cloud technologies (such as Terraform or Kubernetes) or working within a cloud environment.
• Experience creating and layering custom Docker images.
• Experience prompting AI LLMs or completing AI coding tasks.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines within a production environment.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

We are looking for someone who will be a keystone to our team's expansion into Costa Rica and will help facilitate our team's overall mission to help architect the usage of future state technologies, and to help maintain our service portfolios and environments. Participate in the management of a large environment of servers spanning multiple countries, cloud and on-premise environments.
