Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a Sr Engineer, Development Ops to help drive DevOps practices across a global production environment. You will steward Linux-based systems, containerized deployments, and automated CI/CD pipelines in production. The role involves cloud technologies, on-call rotations, and collaboration across multinational teams.

You will participate in automation initiatives, design scalable infrastructure, and implement best practices for security, monitoring, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux environments (CentOS/RedHat, BASH, Git).
• Hands-on experience with containers in production.
• Experience creating Jenkinsfiles, Ansible roles/playbooks, or coding in any language.
• Willingness to participate in an alternating team on-call rotation.
• Strong interest in AI usage and automation of tasks.
• Hands-on experience with network devices (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, Cisco VPN, VyOS).
• Experience with cloud tech (Terraform, Kubernetes) or cloud environments.
• Experience creating and layering custom Docker images.
• Experience prompting AI LLMs or completing AI coding tasks.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines in production.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

• Experience creating and layering custom Docker images.
• Experience prompting AI LLMs or completing AI coding tasks.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines within a production environment.

Participate in the management of a large environment of servers spanning multiple countries, cloud and on-premise environments.
