Job summary

TransUnion is hiring a Sr Developer, Applications Development. The role demands 10+ years in PHP, strong OOP, MySQL, and front-end skills (JS/HTML5/CSS3) with Git/Subversion and Agile experience.

You’ll guide design, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with clients to deliver solutions in a hybrid setup with at least two in-office days weekly. Ideal candidates will communicate clearly, translate client requirements into technical specs, and contribute across the full development lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience in PHP or similar language.
• Expert knowledge of object oriented programming.
• Expert knowledge of MySQL.
• Strong front-end knowledge: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with version control tools Git or Subversion.
• Linux command line and server management experience is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
• Consultative skills to understand client needs and solve problems.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written responses with extreme detail to customer requirements.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Consultative skills in order to understand the technical needs of the client, the ability to determine any problems or unmet needs the client may face and an aptitude for solving complex problems.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written responses with extreme detail to customer requirements in support of solution development and delivery.

• Specifically your duties will include the following:
