Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior DevOps and AWS Engineer to drive the evolution of our digital landscape. You will lead the implementation of scalable, secure cloud-based infrastructure and enable rapid, reliable software delivery.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in design reviews, and apply cutting-edge practices across CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure build and lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS Cloud, CloudFormation, and API Gateways.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Chef preferred).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like CloudWatch, AppDynamics, ESaaS.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment on Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, automation, and code quality tools (SonarQube, Veracode).

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
