Position Overview and Objective
ArcticWolf is redefining the cybersecurity landscape. We’re looking for a Senior Developer 2 – CI/CD Platform Engineering to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable software delivery platforms and developer enablement solutions. You will drive the architecture and operational excellence of CI/CD systems that power reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery across the organization. You will work closely with engineering, SRE, security, and platform teams to improve developer experience, standardize engineering practices, and build resilient cloud‑native infrastructure at scale. You will also mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and contribute to long‑term platform strategy while remaining hands‑on with implementation and automation.
Responsibilities
- Designing and evolving enterprise‑scale CI/CD platforms that support multi‑team and multi‑environment software delivery workflows
- Building self‑service developer platform capabilities that simplify infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, secrets management, and operational workflows
- Architecting scalable GitOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code patterns that improve reliability, consistency, and governance across cloud environments
- Developing internal platform services (e.g.,Backstage), automation tooling, and APIs to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency
- Improving software supply chain security, including artifact management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, workload identity, and secure deployment practices
- Defining and implementing governance standards for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, access management, and cloud resource utilization
- Driving observability and operational excellence across platform systems, including metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and SLO‑based monitoring
- Partnering with application and reliability engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, release velocity, and incident response capabilities
- Researching and evaluating emerging technologies in Kubernetes, container ecosystems, platform engineering, developer tooling, and cloud‑native security
- Leading proof‑of‑concept initiatives and guiding adoption of new tooling and architectural improvements across the organization
- Mentoring and supporting engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, operational best practices, and platform enablement initiatives
- Promoting AI‑driven development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity and engineering efficiency
- Creating and reviewing comprehensive High‑Level Design (HLD) and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) documents covering architecture, scalability, reliability, security, operational impact, and deployment considerations for proposed changes
Desired Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering roles
- Strong software development background in Go, Python, or similar languages, focusing on building maintainable and secure automation systems
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud‑native infrastructure, with hands‑on experience operating AmazonEKS and supporting CI/CD platforms at scale
- Expertise with AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, Route53, S3, CloudWatch, ECR, Lambda, and managed Kubernetes services
- Understanding of CI/CD architecture, deployment automation, GitOps workflows, and developer platform engineering concepts
- Extensive experience implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, or CDK
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, policy enforcement, and least‑privilege access controls
- Strong troubleshooting and operational skills across Linux systems, networking, containers, and distributed systems
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence engineering standards, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document architecture, operational processes, and engineering standards
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices within platform or infrastructure teams
- Experience managing artifact registries and their lifecycle at scale, including governance, retention, replication, and security controls
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite (preferred), or GitLabCI, along with artifact management platforms such as JFrog Artifactory
- Experience implementing software supply chain security and compliance controls including SBOM, image signing, and vulnerability management
- Experience operating and securing Linux‑based systems including Ubuntu, AmazonLinux, or Docker/container‑optimised operating systems
- Additional skills: designing internal developer platforms (e.g.,Backstage), reusable automation frameworks, and self‑service infrastructure capabilities; familiarity with multi‑tenant platform architectures and developer experience optimisation; support for large‑scale engineering organisations with platform standardisation and governance initiatives; Bazel experience strongly preferred
