About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (CAD) to join our MEP design and BIM team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, and documenting mechanical systems for building services, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical System Design & Drafting:

Design and develop HVAC systems, ducting layouts, plumbing layouts, piping systems, and fire protection systems using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Prepare schematics, isometric drawings, equipment layouts, and detailed mechanical drawings.

Perform load calculations, pressure drop analysis, duct sizing, and pipe sizing as per project requirements.

Ensure all designs are accurate, detailed, and comply with regulatory and client standards.

Revit MEP & BIM Coordination:

Create and manage Revit MEP models for mechanical systems, ensuring proper coordination with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.

Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues using BIM workflows.

Generate 2D and 3D views, schedules, and documentation from Revit models for project review and construction.

Equipment & System Selection:

Specify and select mechanical equipment including chillers, AHUs, pumps, valves, and piping accessories.

Prepare technical datasheets, equipment schedules, and layouts for approval.

Documentation & Standards:

Develop and maintain mechanical design documentation, including BOQs, material specifications, and technical reports.

Ensure designs follow international and local codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IS, NFPA).

Review vendor drawings and provide technical support during design reviews.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated mechanical and MEP designs.

Support site teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting stages.

Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD/Revit libraries, design standards, and BIM workflows.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.

Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, and model management.

Experience with mechanical calculations, duct/pipe sizing, and load analysis tools.

Understanding of MEP integration, BIM workflows, and industry codes/standards.
