About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Designer - Electrical to lead our electrical design team in delivering innovative, compliant, and high-quality solutions. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring all electrical systems meet project specifications, international engineering standards, and client expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including MEP, Interior Design, and Project Management, to ensure seamless integration and execution of design deliverables.

What Makes The Role Successful

• Lead and manage a team of Electrical Design Engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
• Develop and refine design concepts based on project specifications and ensure all required technical documentation is prepared and maintained.
• Plan, allocate, and prioritize tasks within the design team to achieve project milestones efficiently.
• Review, check, and evaluate electrical designs and material specifications for tenders and project execution.
• Verify material data sheets and material take-off reports for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and validate project estimates and cost projections, ensuring alignment with design and client expectations.
• Collaborate with drafting and design teams to ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.
• Document and report on meetings, project progress, design validations, and completion milestones.
• Incorporate feedback and learning from completed projects and client reviews to drive continuous improvement and design excellence.
• Guide and train the team on emerging technologies, design tools, and international standards to ensure continuous skill enhancement.
• Maintain safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System.

What We’re Looking For

• 6-10 years of total experience, including 3-4 years in a Senior Design Engineer or equivalent role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related discipline).
• Proven team leadership and team administration skills, with the ability to mentor and manage design engineers effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional coordination.
• In-depth understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and documentation.
• Familiarity with project management principles and procurement processes.
• Expertise in using specialized design software and tools relevant to electrical systems design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver accurate and innovative design solutions.
