Job summary

Cyient in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Jigs and Fixtures Design engineer to lead the design and development of assembly tools and fixtures for aerospace-related projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fixture design, hands-on Catia V5 proficiency, and a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering; you will collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in assembly fixture design/tool design.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience on Catia V5.
• Diploma in Tool & Die Making with Tool design experience preferred or B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical.

Note:

• Diploma in Tool & Die Making with Tool design experience Preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace tooling standards for major OEMs (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin) preferred

Desirable Requirements

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for aerospace assembly fixture, drill jig etc. in Catia
• Good knowledge of fits & tolerances
• Good knowledge of GD&T
• Good knowledge of engineering drawing, basics of tool manufacturing, assembly and jig setting
• Basic knowledge of welding, tooling materials, heat treatment, special process etc.
