Job summary

Tata Elxsi, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer in Pune to develop 1-D vehicle dynamics models using MATLAB/Simulink and to work with Carsim for co-simulation. The role involves post-processing with MATLAB scripts and troubleshooting dynamics issues in Simulink.

You'll interpret chassis control algorithms such as torque vectoring, active/semi-active suspension, and ABS, and build models with Adams-Car/IPG-Carmaker. Strong analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop 1-D mathematical models for Vehicle Dynamics subsystems using Matlab-Simulink.
• Experience with Damper rig test modelling in Carsim/Simulink.
• Perform post-processing using MATLAB scripts.
• Troubleshoot vehicle dynamics issues in Simulink.
• Use Carsim-Matlab interface for model building & co-simulation.
• Interpret algorithms for chassis control e.g. torque vectoring, active/semi-active suspension & ABS.

• Optimize car setup with simulations to improve track performance.

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Pune

• Develop 1-D mathematical models for Vehicle Dynamics subsystems using Matlab-Simulink.
• Experience with Damper rig test modelling in Carsim/Simulink
• Good hands-on experience with MATLAB tools & should be able to perform post-processing using MATLAB-scripts.
• Experience in troubleshooting the vehicle dynamics criticalities developed in Simulink.
• Experience with Carsim software for model building & co-simulation using Carsim-Matlab interface.
• Knowledge of vehicle controls system & should be able to interpret the algorithms for chassis control e.g. Torque vectoring or active/semi-active suspension & ABS system.
• Experience in building K&C test rigs in Carsim using VS scripting would be helpful.
• Development of Car models using Adams-Car, IPG-carmaker & Altair motion-solve is an added advantage.
• Use simulation tools to optimize the car setup and to develop new solutions to further improve overall car performance on track.
• Proficiency in vehicle model development using tools such as CarSim, Simulink, or similar MBD platforms is required.
• Carry out in depth data analysis investigations and develop metrics to provide crucial information for simulation correlation and vehicle performance development.
