Job summary

Tata Elxsi, Inc. in Bengaluru seeks an experienced automotive ECU software and hardware tester to drive validation across CAN/LIN/UDS networks, develop and execute test plans, and identify defects early in the lifecycle.

You will work with DSPACE PROVETECH, MATLAB/Simulink plant modelling, HIL methods, and tools like DOORS Next Gen, PREEVision, JIRA, SVN, CANoe, and Vector VN hardware, contributing to system-level validation and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Automotive ECU software & hardware testing with strong defect identification skills
• Hands-on experience with HIL testing concepts and end-to-end project lifecycle
• Proficient in CAN/LIN/UDS (ISO 14229) and Ethernet testing
• Test case design, test specification creation and peer reviews

Responsibilities

• DSPACE with PROVETECH for TA and plant modelling using MATLAB/Simulink
• Validate Body & Comfort ECUs, including lighting systems
• Hands-on testing with HIL and end-to-end project lifecycle involvement (1-3 projects)
• Tools: IBM DOORS Next Gen, PREEVision, JIRA, SVN; scripting in CAPL, Python, VB, or C#
• Test automation expertise using AutomationDesk/ProveTech and CAPL/Python scripting
• System-level validation, defect tracking, KPI reporting and stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities:

• 4+ years of experience in Automotive ECU software & hardware testing with strong defect identification skills
• DSPACE with PROVETECH: TA along with Plant Modelling experience using MatLab/Simulink
• Proficient in automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, UDS (ISO 14229), Ethernet
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and test processes
• Experience in validation of Body & Comfort ECUs, including lighting systems
• Hands-on expertise in HIL testing concepts with involvement in end-to-end HIL project lifecycle (1-3 projects)
• Experience with IBM DOORS Next Gen, PREEVision, and tools like JIRA, SVN
