Job summary

Vijaya Management in Maharashtra seeks a piping design engineer with hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks for fabrication and piping projects. You will handle 2D drafting in AutoCAD and 3D modeling, prepare P&ID and GA drawings, and support shop floor activities.

The role requires knowledge of piping design, standards (ASME/ANSI/DIN/IS), and basic engineering calculations. You will report to the project manager and assist cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge in fabrication and piping.
• Selection of piping, tubing & fittings as per ASME, ANSI, DIN, IS standards.
• Perform pressure drop & flow calculation, pipe calculation etc.
• Prepare Fabrication BOM, Prepare P&ID & GA drawings.
• 2D drafting on AutoCAD and 3D modeling on Inventor/Solidworks
• Review the 3D model & Compare 3D model to P&ID
• Monitor work process and support shop floor activities
• Provide technical support to Application, Quality, Production, Purchase & Store departments,
• Responsible for engineering documentation & project status records
• Reporting to the manager for project updates, and variation in scope for project.
• Participate internal & external audit

Responsibilities

• Design piping systems using Inventor/SolidWorks.
• Create 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models.
• Prepare P&ID and GA drawings for projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and piping design checks.
• Coordinate with QA, Production, Purchase & Stores.
• Support shop floor with technical guidance and documentation.
• Assist in audits and project status reporting.
