Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to prepare General Arrangement drawings for client approval and shop fabrication, and detailed drawings for procurement.

You will work with Project/Structural Engineers on equipment layouts, develop P&ID diagrams, and ensure ASME piping standards are met, leveraging SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong collaboration and multi-project capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Engineering degree (Full time) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 to 8 years related experience or equivalent.
• Expertise in SolidWorks (2+ years), including routing and weldments.
• Familiar with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping standards.
• Experience with P&ID diagrams, industrial piping design and layout.
• Familiar with AutoCAD (min. AutoCAD 2014).
• Strong drawing and detailing capabilities.
• Proficient in MS-Office (especially MS Excel).

Work Experience

Diploma or Engineering degree(Full time) on Mechanical Engineering; 4 to 8 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expertise in SolidWorks (2 + years), including routing and weldments.

Familiar with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping standards.

Experience with P&I diagrams, industrial piping design and layout.

Familiar with AutoCAD (min. AutoCAD 2014).

Strong drawing and detailing capabilities.

Proficient in MS-Office (especially MS Excel).

Able to learn and use in house tools and 3rd party software.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with the project design team.
