Job summary

Fluenc is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to manage demand forecasts for BESS products and translate them into a production plan. This role links Commercial, Product Management, Finance, and Manufacturing to create a single, trusted demand view guiding planning and operations.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in demand planning within project-based manufacturing, with experience in BESS, energy infrastructure, or related industries; SAP S/4HANA, ERP, and advanced planning tools are preferred.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for managing the demand forecast for BESS products and converting this into an allocated Production Plan. This role is a key link between Commercial, Product Management, Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to establish a single, trusted view of demand that drives planning and operations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong demand planning experience within project-based manufacturing environments and has a deep understanding of customer forecasting, sales pipeline analysis, and consensus planning processes. Experience in the BESS, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, electrical equipment, or related industries is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Demand Planning Forecasting
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across customers, products, and regions.
  • Consolidate forecast, project pipeline, and market intel into a single demand plan, partnering with Sales and Product Management.
  • Communicate business impacts and planning assumptions to stakeholders.
• Commercial SOP Alignment
  • Lead demand reviews within the SOP / IBP process.
  • Generate unconstrained Production Plan, partnering with Contract Manufacturing.
  • Drive alignment across Commercial, Finance, Supply Planning, and Operations.
  • Resolve forecast gaps and escalte significant risks and opportunities.
• Analytics Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, and market trends.
  • Develop demand scenarios to support business and capacity planning.
  • Deliver executive reporting, dashboards, and actionable insights.
  • Improve planning processes, tools, data quality, and forecasting methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in SCM, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Business Planning, Commercial Planning, Forecasting, SOP, or Integrated Business Planning.
• Experience partnering directly with Sales and Product Management organizations.
• Strong understanding of demand management and consensus planning processes.
• Experience with make-to-order, project-based, or engineered product businesses.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, or advanced planning systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the Battery Energy Storage System industry.
• Experience forecasting finished goods demand for energy storage, renewable energy, power infrastructure, industrial systems, or capital equipment.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Kinaxis, Anaplan or similar tools.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience within a high-growth manufacturing environment.
