Job summary

Netcore is seeking a Database Administrator to build scalable and resilient database platforms. You will tackle distributed systems challenges and optimize performance in TB-scale production environments.

You should bring hands-on experience with InnoDB, MySQL optimization, migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting, plus exposure to WiredTiger and sharded architectures. Proficiency in at least one programming language is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with InnoDB engine internals.
• Experience with the MySQL query optimizer.
• Automation mindset; not a manual admin profile.
• Experience with database migrations.
• Experience with database upgrades (e.g., 8.x to 8.4).
• Troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with TB-scale data and 20–50 node clusters.
• Ability to translate business use cases to technical solutions.
• Experience with the WiredTiger engine.
• Strong understanding of sharding, partitioning, replication, HA and DR.
• OLTP MySQL experience required.
• NoSQL MongoDB or Cassandra experience required.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Ansible, Terraform, Docker experience desirable.
• Cloud SQL and RDS familiarity.

Role Summary

As a Database Administrator, you will build highly scalable resilient database platforms. You\'ll work on solving complex distributed systems and performance engineering challenges and on large-scale production environments handling TB-scale data

What We\'re Looking For

• Proven experience with InnoDB engine internals.
• Proven experience with the MySQL query optimizer.
• Automation mindset. This is not a atypical manual admin profile.
• Proven database migration experience. If you focus on details, it will be good for us to understand you.
• Proven experience with database upgrades. Say, 8-8.4
• Proven troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with data sizes in the TB range and large clusters (e.g., 20-50 nodes per cluster) is beneficial.
• Good if you able to convert business use case to technical.
• Proven experience with the Wired Tiger engine
• Good understanding of sharding,partitioning, sharded clusters, replication, HA and DR.

Preferred but not Mandatory

• Good understanding of HTAP solutions
• Good understanding of OLAP ( LSM)
• based databases.
• Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and containers.
• Cloud SQL and RDS

Mandatory

• One OLTP ( MySQL )
• One NoSQL (either MongoDB or Cassandra)
• Proficiency in any one programming language
