Job summary

Smith+Nephew in Pune, India, seeks a Senior Data Management Specialist to maintain product hierarchies and ensure master data quality across systems.

You will collaborate with product managers, supply chain, IT and finance to align data governance with business needs, support data migration, and develop tools and processes for efficient master data management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in data management and/or governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, supply chain management, or related field.
• Fluent in English.
• Proven experience in master data management, preferably in product data or hierarchy management.
• Good understanding of data management principles and best practice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and data analysis capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills with attention to detail.
• Experience across multiple source systems including SAP versions and Axapta.

Responsibilities

• Document data standards, processes, and procedures to maintain knowledge base and training materials.

• Good interpersonal skills – ability to build good relationships with virtual teams and senior leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel skills, strong data analysis skills attention to detail
• Ability to work across multiple source system including various SAP versions and Axapta.
• Have a working knowledge of core data / analysis tools like SNOW, Eflow, PTC Windchill, Syndigo, Alation, Winshuttle, SAP SQVI
• Proficiency with master data management systems (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica MDM) and data visualization/reporting tools.
