Job summary

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of data engineering experience, hands-on data processing expertise, and proficiency with Dataiku, Jupyter Notebook, and VS Code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of data engineering or analytics experience.
• Strong Python, PySpark, and SQL skills.

• Experience with Power BI and Excel for reporting.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in data processing, analytics, and healthcare datasets. The ideal candidate will support the development of scalable data pipelines, perform data analysis, and collaborate closely with data science, analytics, and business teams.

Role Overview
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and analytical datasets to support business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives. This role requires proficiency in Python, SQL, and basic PySpark, along with hands-on experience working with healthcare and pharmaceutical datasets.

• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Work with large-scale healthcare datasets to generate actionable insights
• Build and optimize queries for data analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to prepare datasets for machine learning models
• Use tools such as Dataiku, Jupyter Notebook, and VS Code for data development and experimentation
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and Excel for business stakeholders
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity through validation and testing
• Support deployment of analytical solutions using tools like Streamlit
• Document data processes, workflows, and datasets for governance and usability

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL
• Experience with tools: Dataiku, Jupyter Notebook, VS Code
• Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and visualization
• Strong understanding of data processing, ETL concepts, and data pipelines
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Machine Learning & Analytical Exposure (Good to Have)

• Experience with classification models such as Random Forest and XGBoost
• Understanding of basic machine learning workflows
• Exposure to optimization techniques (e.g., Convex Optimization)

Education

Nice to Have

• Exposure to healthcare/pharma data ecosystems
• Experience in building lightweight applications using Streamlit
