Job summary

GE HealthCare in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer for Ultrasound modality equipment maintenance and repair. You will troubleshoot complex issues, complete FMI/PMS inspections, and ensure timely administrative documentation.

The role requires strong communication and collaboration with customers and colleagues to uphold service quality. The incumbent will be based out of Hyderabad, with relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; extensive hands-on experience in ultrasound equipment.
• 10+ years of field experience in Ultrasound Modality preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document and coordinate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining all ultrasound models in the assigned area.
• Total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
• Completing all administration tasks on time, including FMI and PMS documentation.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline and supporting specialized roles as needed.
• Collaborating with customers and GE teams to resolve issues and ensure service quality.

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. In This Role You Will Be Responsible For

• Maintaining all models specific to Ultrasound Modality Equipment in the assigned area. Total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
• Completing all administration tasks on time.
• Ensures timely completion of FMIs (Field Modification Instructions) and PMS (Preventive Maintenance Service) inspections documentation for assigned accounts.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Having general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolving issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborating with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
• The incumbent will be based out of Hyderabad.

Educational Qualification

• Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Required Qualifications

• This role requires 10 plus years of field experience in Ultrasound Modality is preferred.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
