Job summary

Nielsen Holdings Plc is seeking a Lease Accountant to manage lease data, post journal entries, and ensure IFRS 16/ASC 842 compliance. You will analyze ROUA and lease liabilities, perform monthly close activities, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Strong Excel and ERP workflow automation skills are essential.

Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, or Local GAAP and SAP S4/ECC would be advantageous. Collaboration with finance, legal, and operations is required to gather necessary lease information.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of lease accounting experience.
• Finance degree (CA/CMA/ACCA preferred).
• Experience with US GAAP / IFRS / Local GAAP.
• Strong Excel and ERP workflow automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease data in the designated system.
• Post lease-related journal entries per US GAAP/ IFRS/Local GAAP.
• Calculate ROUA and lease liability valuation for manual leases.
• Perform monthly closing activities for leases, ensuring correct transactions.
• Prepare and analyze lease-related reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure IFRS 16/ASC 842 compliance.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations to gather lease information.

Job Description

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease data in the designated system.
• Prepare and post lease-related journal entries in accordance with accounting standards US GAAP/ IFRS/Local GAAP.
• Calculate ROUA & lease liability valuation for manual leases.
• Perform monthly closing activities related to leases, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Prepare and analyze lease-related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant lease accounting standards (IFRS 16/ASC 842/Local GAAP)
• Collaborate with various departments, including finance, legal, and operations, to gather necessary lease information.
• Assist with audits and provide documentation as required.
• Prior experience of working on SAP S4/ECC or a large ERP platform (Optional)
• Expert in advanced Excel and workflow automation to streamline process

Qualifications

• Experience range 1-3 Years
• Graduation in Finance (CA/CMA/ACCA preferred)
