Job summary

Nielsen is hiring a Fixed Asset and leasing specialist for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on global FA and lease accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting and strong collaboration across time zones.

You will handle MJE entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and audits within a GCC environment. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in R2R/General Accounting, with hands-on SAP FA/lease knowledge and ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in R2R / General Accounting.
• Understanding of SAP FA & lease accounting (US GAAP/IFRS).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and post manual journal entries including accruals and reclasses.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Maintain GL & Sub-ledger integrity aligning with accounting policies.
• Support preparation of management reporting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Assist audits with required documentation.
• Participate in transition activities and knowledge transfer.

Role summary
Support global FA & lease accounting operations by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial
reporting. The role goes beyond processing to enable stronger stakeholder collaboration and drive continuous improvement within a GCC environment.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and post manual journal entries (MJE) including accruals and reclasses
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities as per global timelines
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation and follow-up on open items
• Maintain GL & Sub‑ledger integrity and ensure alignment with accounting policies (US GAAPASC 360, ASC 842, IFRS 16 & IAS 16)
• Support preparation of management reporting and variance analysis
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders/business finance teams for issue resolution
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation
• Participate in transition activities and knowledge transfer (if applicable)
• Understanding of SAP FA & lease accounting processes in both ECC / S/4HANA environments.
• Hands‑on experience in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration.
• Strong understanding of R2R processes and accounting fundamentals
• Experience in month-end close and reconciliationsHands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
• Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
• Ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
