Job summary

Nielsen Holdings Plc in Maharashtra, India, is seeking a finance professional to support global FA and lease accounting operations, delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the GCC environment. This is a 12-month contract role with exposure to SAP FA/lease processes and cross‑functional collaboration.

The role requires 1+ year of R2R/General Accounting experience, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in R2R / General Accounting.
• Experience with US GAAP ASC 360, ASC 842, IFRS 16 & IAS 16 is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and post manual journal entries including accruals and reclasses.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities per global timelines.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Maintain GL & Sub-ledger integrity and ensure policy alignment (US GAAP/IFRS).
• Support preparation of management reporting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders/business finance teams for issue resolution.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Participate in transition activities and knowledge transfer.
• Understand SAP FA & lease accounting processes in ECC / S/4HANA environments.
• Hands-on experience in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration.

Role summary

reporting. The role goes beyond processing to enable stronger stakeholder collaboration and drive
continuous improvement within a GCC environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain GL & Sub-ledger integrity and ensure alignment with accounting policies (US GAAPASC 360, ASC 842, IFRS 16 & IAS 16)
