A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Controls Engineer, on a typical day within the Loads and Controls team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, you will work on developing, tuning, and validating advanced turbine control strategies using aeroelastic simulations, field data analysis, and automation tools. Your day may involve setting up and running aeroelastic simulation workflows, analyzing turbine response and controller performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and proposing control enhancements to improve energy production and reduce structural loads. You will collaborate closely with global teams across loads, software, and turbine design to solve complex engineering challenges and support validation activities on operational turbines.
In addition, you will contribute to controller certification activities by preparing technical documentation, supporting compliance analyses, and participating in technical reviews. Through your expertise in controls engineering, simulation-driven development, and data analysis, you will directly support the delivery of innovative and reliable wind turbine solutions that accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.
As part of the team, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and validation of advanced wind turbine control systems.
As a part of the Loads and Controls team in Bangalore location, you will execute projects in collaboration with global engineering teams across Denmark, Spain, and other Siemens Gamesa locations.
You must have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Control & Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from a recognized institute.
You should have minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in controls, preferably within wind turbine technology or renewable energy applications.
This role is part of the Loads and Controls Engineering Department within Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Technology organization. The team works on cutting‑edge control technologies and advanced engineering solutions for next‑generation wind turbines in a highly international environment.
