Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and technically proficient Electromechanical Engineer to develop and maintain design documentation for wind turbine SCADA systems and associated electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between electrical engineering and end‑user communication by producing clear, accurate, and accessible content that supports field engineers, technicians, and operations personnel. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, SCADA teams, control engineers, and installation personnel to document complex electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety requirements, industry standards, and engineering accuracy.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Develop, update, and manage high‑quality documentation including:
  • Electrical system overviews and wiring diagrams
  • SCADA panel configuration and I/O mapping
  • Power distribution layouts and grounding systems
  • Electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance manuals
  • Control cabinet schematics and interface documentation
  • Compliance and safety documentation (e.g., IEC, NEC standards)
  • Work instructions for SCADA components and instrumentation
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to gather source data, drawings, and real‑world use cases
  • Interpreting electrical drawings (single‑line diagrams, termination layouts, loop diagrams) and translating them into technical content
  • Ensuring documentation accuracy, consistency, and alignment with engineering revisions and change‑control processes
  • Supporting the creation of training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintaining documents using version control and documentation management systems
  • Applying good knowledge in converting STEP files into 3D and 2D models using Creo/UG modelling software (preferable).
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong experience in technical design for electrical systems, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial automation domain.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and component datasheets.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEC 61439, IEC 60204, IEC 61400, or NEC.
  • Knowledge of EMC, CE, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Proficiency with Creo, NX, AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools for working with drawings.
  • Experience with documentation platforms such as MS Office, LaTeX, or DITA‑based tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to technical accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of SCADA systems, electrical control systems, and power distribution.
Good to Have
  • Experience with wind turbine electrical systems or renewable energy grid integration.
  • Knowledge of PLC/RTU wiring, IEDs, and electrical interfacing with SCADA systems.
  • Exposure to SCADA platforms.
  • Understanding of safety practices related to LV/MV/HV systems and field operations.
  • Experience in creating 2D/3D illustrations or visual aids for electrical components.
