Job summary

Withum India is seeking a Senior Consultant - OASYS - Advisory to join our Bengaluru office. The role involves accounting outsourcing duties, AP/AR processing, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation for US-based clients.

You will work with a US-India team, report to Accounting Seniors/Managers, and ensure timely delivery of engagements while upholding Withum's culture and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent with CA Inter preferred.
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred but not required at interview start.
• 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
• Experience processing AP/AR, GL, and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process client accounting transactions in the appropriate software.
• Monitor portals for clients to ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Perform compilation procedures per firm standards as directed by engagement leaders.
• Develop technical competency in GAAP and accounting software used by the firm.
• Respond to client and associate requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate proactively with firm associates regarding open items and issues.
• Adhere to budgets and deadlines for engagements.
• Prepare correspondence related to client engagements as appropriate.
• Participate in core CPE programs.
• Develop familiarity with Withum service offerings to identify opportunities.
• Participate in community activities to build relationships.

Underthe direction of the Sr. Accounting Specialist or Associate Accounting Manager,the Accounting Specialist provides business accounting services for the firm’sAccounting Outsourcing clients, including processing of accounts payable,accounts receivable, maintenance of general ledgers, assist preparation ofmonthly financial statements, and communicates results to firm associates, inaccordance with company policies and procedures.

Asa consultant in our Withum India office you will work alongside an integratedteam of US and India based accounting professionals. In this position, you willbe reporting to the Accounting Seniors and Managers and collaborating withthese professionals on various audit engagements.

Howwill you spend your time:

• Enter and process client accounting transactions in the appropriate accounting software on a regular and timely basis.

• Develop a familiarity with Withum service offerings with the intent of applying that knowledge towards identifying additional client opportunities.
• Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience.(Chartered Accountant) CA Inter or article ship would be preferred.
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is preferred but not required at the time of interviewand hire (will be required to obtain certification after starting).
• Preferred 2+ years of prior bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Processing accounting transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and preparation of financial statements.
• Prior experience using accounting software packages such as QuickBooks and/or DynamicsGP is preferred but not required.
