Job summary

Withum, a leading US-based accounting firm, is seeking an experienced auditor to join its India operations in Bengaluru. The role focuses on U.S. GAAP audits, reviews, and attest engagements for diverse clients across financial services and other industries.

You will work with a global team, maintain high quality standards, and contribute to staff development while leveraging cross-border insights. CPA licensure and 5+ years post-qualification experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA licensure (or international equivalent).
• Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification, hands-on experience with a U.S. accounting firm.
• Excellent GAAP and GAAS knowledge; up-to-date CPE.
• Experience with SEC and PCAOB filings.

Withum’s Auditing and Attest Engagement services are thecornerstone of our firm. Withum’s audit and advisory team possess the expertisenecessary to give stakeholders confidence in financial information. This teamprovides audit services, review and compilation services and other agreed uponaudit procedures to a variety of client sizes and industries.

• Reviewingfinancial statements of commercial and financial service clients for compliancewith professional and Firm standards, including engagement team interaction
• Reviewingworking papers and complex accounting transactions for completeness andaccuracy
• Creating andimplementing specific proactive Firm-wide policies and concepts thatcontinuously improve the quality of our Audit and Accounting practice.
• Assisting inthe planning and execution of various projects to provide support in connectionwith our internal inspections and targeted binder inspections.
• Assistingwith other specific technical projects as requested, such as independencematters, research projects, Quality Control Document revisions, traininginitiatives, etc.
• Demonstratingcompetency of technical skills, work quality, and the application ofprofessional and Firm standards
• Promoting andmonitoring compliance with regulations and ethical standards set forth by theFirm and other governing bodies.
• Developingprofessionally through reading, attending trainings/seminars/CPE, and acceptingchallenging projects
• Understandinggeneral business trends and how they may relate to client needs/issues
• Assisting inproject driven functions performed around data analysis and reporting toManagement
• Assisting andleading in the binder review and engagement cleanup process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, orrelated field
• CPA Licensure (or international equivalent)
• Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification,hands-on experience with a U.S. accounting firm.
• ExcellentcurrenttechnicalGAAPandGAASknowledge;possessionofcurrentCPEreflectingup- to-date technical knowledge.
