Job summary

Withum India is seeking a Senior Consultant to provide accounting outsourcing services for US clients, working under the Accounting Manager. You will handle AP/AR, GL maintenance, and monthly financial statements, collaborating with a cross-border team. The role requires GAAP proficiency and experience with US accounting software, including Restaurant365 and QuickBooks, as well as strong Excel skills. You will manage multiple engagements while maintaining confidentiality and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in U.S. accounting.
• Hands-on experience with Restaurant365 and QuickBooks.
• Proficient in Excel; Word and Outlook exposure.
• Knowledge of Fathom Reports or LivePlan.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to balance multiple projects under deadlines.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional skepticism.

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Consultant provides business accounting services for the firm’s Accounting Outsourcing clients, including processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintenance of general ledgers, assist preparation of monthly financial statements, and communicates results to firm associates, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

As Senior Consultant in our Withum India office you will work alongside an integrated team of US and India based accounting professionals. In this position, you will be reporting to the Accounting Managers and collaborating with these professionals on various accounting engagements.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

• Enter and process client accounting transactions in the appropriate accounting software on a regular and timely basis.
• Monitor the portal for assigned clients on a regular basis to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Perform compilation procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
• Develop technical competency with GAAP and various accounting software systems used to provide the Accounting Outsourcing Services.
• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Communicate proactively with other firm associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters in a timely manner.
• Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4-6 years in U.S. accounting
• Focus on technology skills as well as accounting skills
• Processing accounting transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and preparation of financial statements. Hands on experience on the Technology setup tools like Restaurant 365 & Quick Books are must.
• Good exposure to Excel (formatting info and/or creating worksheets for imports, exporting)
• Experience working on Word and Outlook (generally expose to features we may not be utilizing with multiple inboxes/calendars).
• Knowledge of Fathom Reports or Live Plan
• Good exposure to Microsoft Office suite
• Any experience with agriculture accounting would really be nice
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
• Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling to meet workflow demands
• Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
