Job summary

Withum India in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Consultant for Advisory - OASYS. You will work with US-India teams on accounting outsourcing projects, handling AP/AR, GL maintenance, and monthly statements.

The role reports to Accounting Seniors/Managers, collaborating on audits, and contributing to client service excellence while growing technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or equivalent; CA Inter or articleship preferred.
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred but not required; must obtain after starting.
• 2+ years of prior bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or DynamicsGP is preferred but not required.
• Active communicator and a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process client accounting transactions in the appropriate accounting software on a regular and timely basis.
• Monitor the portal for assigned clients on a regular basis to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Perform compilation procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
• Develop technical competency with GAAP and various accounting software systems used to provide the Accounting Outsourcing services.
• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Communicate proactively with other firm associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters in a timely manner.
• Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines.
• Prepare correspondence related to client engagements as appropriate.
• Participate in core CPE programs.
• Develop familiarity with Withum service offerings to identify additional client opportunities.
• Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members.

Underthe direction of the Sr. Accounting Specialist or Associate Accounting Manager,the Accounting Specialist provides business accounting services for the firm’sAccounting Outsourcing clients, including processing of accounts payable,accounts receivable, maintenance of general ledgers, assist preparationofmonthly financial statements, and communicates results to firm associates, inaccordance with company policies and procedures.

Asa consultant in our Withum India office you will work alongside an integratedteam of US and India based accounting professionals. In this position, you willbe reporting to the Accounting Seniors and Managers and collaborating withthese professionals on various audit engagements.

Requirements

· A Bachelor’s Degreein Commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience.(Chartered Accountant) CA Inter or article ship would be preferred.

· QuickBooks ProAdvisorcertification is preferred but not required at the time of interviewand hire (will be required to obtain certification after starting).

· Preferred 2+ years ofprior bookkeeping/accounting experience.

· Processing accountingtransactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, generalledger, and preparation of financial statements.

· Prior experienceusing accounting software packages such as QuickBooks and/or DynamicsGP is preferred but not required.

· Active communicatorand a great team player
