Job summary

Broadway Global Services is seeking a telecommunications engineer to design, test, and oversee installation of telecom equipment and facilities. You will manage on-site or remote installations and lead training for technicians.

The role involves troubleshooting across voice, data, and video systems, planning and maintaining networks, and coordinating with IT teams to ensure seamless system capabilities. Experience in hospital settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant engineering or information technology field.
• Experience in telecom engineering and hospital environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of IT operations, software engineering practices, and incident reporting.

Job Purpose

Design, test, and oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities, providing engineering solutions for wireless telephony, radio/satellite communications, and internet/broadband technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage installations of telecommunications switches, networks, or maintenance activities (onsite or remotely).


• Oversee training for installation, maintenance, and repair technicians.


• Ensure compliance with specifications and guidelines for all installations and maintenance tasks.


• Troubleshoot telecommunication malfunctions across voice, data, and video systems.


• Plan, design, install, and maintain communication networks supporting information systems.


• Collaborate with IT teams to align telecommunication system capabilities.


• Maintain efficient project documentation and prepare activity/progress reports.


• Support person-centered care initiatives and enhance patient experience through compassionate service.


• Complete additional tasks within scope of expertise.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 4+ years in telecommunications engineering (hospital experience preferred).
