Job summary

Snc-Lavalin in India seeks an experienced Azure / Windows / Nutanix Engineer with 7–8 years of hands-on experience to manage enterprise infrastructure environments. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure / Windows / Nutanix Engineer with 7–8 years of hands‑on experience in managing enterprise infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Infrastructure services.
• Support Azure infrastructure services including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, vWAN services.
• Perform server provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
• Manage Azure Storage Accounts: Blob Storage, File Shares, Tables, Queues; configure Azure Files, SMB access, private endpoints, and networking controls.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Azure File Shares using Azure Backup, Site Recovery (ASR), and Disaster Recovery.
• Manage and assign RBAC for Azure Resources; monitor cloud resources with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Security Center.
• Optimize Azure resource utilization and cost management.
• Perform cloud migrations from on‑premises environments to Azure.
• Manage Failover Clustering and High Availability solutions.
• Manage Nutanix HCI infrastructure and Prism Central: cluster deployment, upgrades, health checks, capacity planning.
• Administer AHV Hypervisor and virtual machine lifecycle management.
• Configure data protection, replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and optimize Nutanix cluster performance; troubleshoot hardware and software incidents.
• Administer and support Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments; troubleshoot OS, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Manage Azure Update Manager (AUM) for patch assessment and deployment across Azure and hybrid servers; schedule and execute patching activities.
• Monitor patch compliance, generate update reports, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, ARM Templates, or Terraform; implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices.

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware, Nutanix AHV, or Hyper‑V.
• Experience in Windows patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Azure administration experience.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and ITIL processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
