Job summary

Neurealm is seeking a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer in Chennai to manage and optimize Azure infrastructure across compute, storage, and networking services. You will drive automation with IaC (Terraform/ARM/Bicep), develop CI/CD pipelines, and handle incident resolution with SBI SLAs, while ensuring security and cost optimization.

The role requires 6-9 years of hands-on Azure experience, strong scripting (PowerShell/Azure CLI), and familiarity with monitoring and ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud administration/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security services.
• Experience with PowerShell / Azure CLI scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Working knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
• Understanding networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, etc.).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills under SLA pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure infrastructure including Virtual Machines, VNets, Storage Accounts, Load Balancers, and Azure AD.

• Implement and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS services: VMs, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute).
• Configure and maintain Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Manage Identity & Access Management using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD/Entra ID), RBAC, and Conditional Access policies.
• Support backup and disaster recovery solutions (Azure Backup, Site Recovery).
• Work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform for provisioning and automation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Handle patching, capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning of cloud resources.
• Ensure adherence to Cloud and well architected framework best practices, compliance standards, and Azure Policy governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Application) for change management and deployments.
• Document runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during planned maintenance/outages.

• Scripting knowledge in Python for automation tasks is important.
