Job summary

Tata Projects is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the structural design and review of balance of plant facilities in a thermal power project. You will prepare specifications, design basis reports, drawings, and bid reviews while coordinating with the client to ensure compliance with project requirements.

The role requires 10-15 years in civil engineering, strong proficiency in STAAD, and hands-on experience with pile foundations to RCC slabs, bracing, and truss systems.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree with 10-15 years experience in power plant structures.
• Prepare technical specifications, design basis reports, and drawing schedules.
• Review bids and prepare TER for main plant civil works and related structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings from pile foundation to RCC slab including openings, trusses and bracing.
• Design main beams, columns and secondary members using Staad and manual checks.
• Coordinate with client and review complete plant structure designs.

Job description

• Development of drawing, reviewing and approving the structures related to Balance of plant (BOP) of thermal power plant such as CHP, AHP, Chimney & water system structures
• Preparation Technical Specification, design basis reports, drawing schedules, Bid review, preparation of TER for main plant civil works, BOP, CHP, AHP, Chimney, IDCT, Switchyard, PEB,
• Responsible for Review of complete power plant structures, coordinating with client
• Preparation of Drawings starting from pile foundation, Pile-cap Design, Base plate Design, column are Design in staad and checked manual, Design bracing members of Columns, Design of main Beams, Design of Auxiliary Columns, Design of secondary beams manual as well as staad with connection Details, Design of RCC slab including equipment openings, Design of trusses, cladding and many more.
• Civil Engineering degree with 10-15 Years of experience is required
