RE&C is seeking a Senior Civil Land Development Engineer to join our growing team in Goa, India, and collaborate with U.S.-based professionals on commercial, industrial, and residential land-development projects.

The role involves site feasibility, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting through construction documents. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth in a dynamic, globally-connected setting.

Qualifications

• B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in land development, site civil engineering, or closely related design work.
• Strong practical proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control, surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, site-design principles, and construction plan production.

Responsibilities

• Design land-development and civil site plans for projects in the Northeastern United States under the supervision of a New York State licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Prepare civil site layout, utility, erosion control, drainage design, and stormwater management plans.
• Perform grading and earthwork design, including Civil 3D surface modeling, cut/fill analysis, pipe networks, ADA accessibility, and site optimization.
• Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
• Research zoning requirements, development regulations, utility availability, design standards, and agency requirements.
• Prepare and review technical calculations, reports, construction documents, and permitting submittal packages.
• Prepare pre-design site feasibility reports and responses to municipal and regulatory agency review comments.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering plans, calculations, and reports.
• Coordinate with U.S.-based project managers, engineers, architects, attorneys, surveyors, utility providers, and other members of the project team.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, and participate in training, hiring, and team development.

Job Title: Senior Civil Land Development Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing land-development team and work closely with Professional Engineers and project teams in the United States on commercial, industrial, residential, and other private-development projects.

This is not a drafting-only role. You’ll be involved throughout the design process from site feasibility and due diligence to grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and construction documents, with opportunities to take increasing technical and leadership responsibility as our team grows.

What You'll Work On:

What We’re Looking For:

1. B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
2. 5+ years of professional experience in land development, site civil engineering, or closely related design work.
3. Strong practical proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
4. Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control, surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, site-design principles, and construction plan production.
5. Experience designing commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-use development projects.
6. Ability to interpret complex engineering plans, surveys, ordinances, design criteria, and technical standards.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, engineering judgment, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of your work.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working on U.S.-based land-development projects and engineering teams.
2. Private, commercial, and industrial development experience.
3. Hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management design, and drainage modeling experience.
4. Experience preparing or reviewing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
5. Previous experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers.
6. Experience performing QA/QC reviews of civil engineering plans.
