Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4–5 years of experience to plan and execute land grading, earthwork, and infrastructure designs for large solar projects in India and abroad. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Excel is essential.

The candidate will prepare detailed plans, assess volumes, ensure quality, and collaborate with project teams while adhering to Indian and American standards, delivering on timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• BTech Civil or MTech in Water Resources Engineering is required.
• 4–5 years of civil engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Excel.
• Strong civil engineering principles and practices knowledge.
• Knowledge of international codes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform desktop assessments for land grading and leveling using Civil 3D and Excel to achieve site contours for drainage, roads, etc.
• Design land grading and earthwork plans; estimate cut and fill volumes.
• Develop infrastructure plans for roads, utilities, stormwater, landscaping for solar projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, drawings, and reports per Indian and American codes.
• Review technical documents for quality and compliance.
• Design drainage features to manage water runoff and prevent erosion.
• Generate construction documents including plan/profile sheets with specs.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOM, and material specs.
• Collaborate with team leads, project managers and others as required.
• Maintain project files and documentation.

Job description

ROLE

• - Plan and perform desktop assessments for land grading and leveling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D and MS Excel software to achieve the desired site contours and slopes for designing storm water drainage systems, roads etc.
• - Design land grading and earthwork plans, analyze and estimate cut and fill volumes, and optimize land development following the finished ground levels.
• - Develop plans for infrastructure systems such as roads, utilities, stormwater management, and landscaping for developing large solar projects in India and overseas.
• - Prepare detailed Engineering plans, drawings, and reports, adhering to Indian and American codes and standards.
• - Review and analyse technical documents, such as drawings, specifications, and reports, for quality and compliance with project requirements
• - Perform effective drainage designs, including slopes, ditches, swales, and retention basins, to manage water runoff and prevent erosion.
• - Generate construction documents, including plan and profile sheets, details, and specifications, adhering to company standards and project requirements.
• - Preparing cost estimates, Bill of materials, and material specifications
• - Collaborate with team lead, project managers and other team members as per project requirements.
• - Maintain the files and documentation as per company’s folder management
• - Ability to work independently and meet the project timelines

REQUIREMENTS

• - Education: BTech Civil / MTech in Water Resources Engineering
• - Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering design.
• - Experience and expertise in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Excel software
• - Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• - Knowledge of International codes shall be an added advantage
• - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• - Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
