Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in India seeks a Senior Civil Engineer/Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and execution of civil projects.

This role involves technical leadership, project management, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license or equivalent certification.
• 8-12 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil design software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, ETABS.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of civil projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, water systems and infrastructure works.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and risks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or construction-related issues.
• Prepare and review tender documents, cost estimates and contract documents.
• Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities to obtain approvals and permits.
• Support continuous improvement in engineering practices and project delivery.
