Ensono is seeking a seasoned VDI Architect to design and support enterprise-scale Citrix and VMware Horizon environments. You will architect secure, scalable VDI platforms for thousands of global users, manage CVAD, Horizon, and related tools, and ensure high availability with DR strategies.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in large-scale environments.
Responsibilities
- Architect and support enterprise-scale Citrix and VMware Horizon environments.
- Configure and maintain CVAD, Citrix Cloud, StoreFront, Gateway/NetScaler, Director & Studio, MCS/PVS.
- Manage Horizon components including Horizon Connection Servers, UAG, Instant Clone & App Volumes.
- Ensure secure, scalable VDI delivery and optimal user experience for global users.
- Monitor performance and capacity; troubleshoot incidents and outages.
- Automate deployment and maintenance using PowerShell and orchestration tools.

- Implement and Support enterprise-scale Citrix and VMware Horizon environments.
- Architect secure and scalable VDI platforms supporting thousands of global users.
- Evaluate infrastructure requirements including compute, storage, network, and security.
- Develop high availability, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
- Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix Cloud environments.
- Configure and maintain:
- Delivery Controllers
- Citrix StoreFront
- Citrix Gateway / NetScaler
- Citrix Director & Studio
- Citrix FAS
- Manage Machine Creation Services (MCS) and Provisioning Services (PVS).
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Manage VMware Horizon environments including:
- Horizon Connection Servers
- Unified Access Gateway (UAG)
- Instant Clone & Linked Clone environments
- App Volumes and Dynamic Environment Manager
- Monitor and optimize VDI performance and capacity.
- Ensure optimal user experience for remote and on-prem users.
- Manage gold images, application delivery, and patching cycles.
- Support Windows 10 / Windows 11 VDI environments.
- Work closely with Service Desk and Infrastructure teams.
- Implement security best practices including:
- Multi-Factor Authentication
- Secure remote access
- Endpoint security integration
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Monitor VDI environments using tools such as:
- Citrix Director
- ControlUp
- VMware vRealize Operations
- Perform root cause analysis for performance and connectivity issues.
- Automate deployment and maintenance using PowerShell, scripting, or orchestration tools.
- Continuously improve VDI efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Experience
- 5+ years working with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- 5+ years working with VMware Horizon

- Networking (DNS, DHCP, Load Balancers)
- Storage technologies
- Azure / AWS VDI (optional but preferred)
- PowerShell scripting
- Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V)
- Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V)
- VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM)
- Microsoft Azure certifications (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in global enterprise environments
- Excellent stakeholder communication
- Leadership and mentoring capability
- Experience managing 10,000+ VDI users
- Experience with DaaS (Citrix Cloud / Horizon Cloud)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust access models
- Experience with Workspace One or Intune
