Job summary

Bahwan CyberTek is seeking an experienced Citrix Administrator in Chennai to design, implement, and manage enterprise Citrix VDI environments. The role focuses on XenApp/XenDesktop, PVS/MCS, and automation using PowerShell to ensure stability, security, and scalability for business-critical apps and users.

The candidate will support high-availability, DR planning, and documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize delivery and user experience across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of hands-on Citrix Administration and VDI Support experience.
• Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, and with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Windows Server Administration experience.
• Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP understanding.
• VDI performance troubleshooting and user experience optimization.
• Profile management technologies: FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management, User Profile Disks.
• Virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Citrix environments including XenApp/XenDesktop.
• Design, deploy, and manage VDI infrastructure to meet business requirements.
• Configure and manage Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Gateway/NetScaler, Director, and WEM.
• Monitor system performance and address capacity, availability, and performance issues.
• Perform Citrix upgrades, migrations, patches, and environment optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues related to application delivery, profile management, connectivity, authentication, and sessions.
• Manage Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, deployment, and admin tasks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to improve service delivery.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Administrator with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise-scale Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Virtual Apps & Desktops, PowerShell scripting, automation, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, performance, and scalability of the Citrix environment while supporting business-critical applications and end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Citrix environments including Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop).
• Design, deploy, and manage VDI infrastructure to meet business requirements.
• Configure and manage Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway/NetScaler, Director, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
• Monitor system performance and proactively address capacity, availability, and performance issues.
• Perform Citrix upgrades, migrations, patches, and environment optimization activities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to application delivery, profile management, connectivity, authentication, and user sessions.
• Manage and optimize Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, deployment, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery planning, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Provide L2/L3 support and participate in incident, change, and problem management activities.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in Citrix Administration and VDI Support.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Citrix XenApp

• Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
• Citrix PVS and MCS
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration
• Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts.
• Experience in troubleshooting VDI performance and user experience issues.
• Knowledge of profile management technologies such as FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management, and User Profile Disks.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance management tools.
