Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior BIM Modeller to join the Cities team and develop engineering calculations into high‑quality 3D models. You will lead the BIM/CAD team, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure project deliverables meet BH standards.

Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering degree and 10+ years in infrastructure BIM/CAD modelling, with strong 2D/3D drawing skills and experience in BIM execution planning and clash detection.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in BIM/CAD modelling focusing on infrastructure.
• Ability to produce 2D and 3D models, design and construction drawings for infrastructure schemes.
• Experience developing BIM Execution Plans and using collaboration tools like BIM 360/ACC.
• Experience producing infrastructure drawings such as roads, earthworks, drainage layouts, and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM/CAD team and mentor junior staff to ensure quality deliverables.
• Support retention and succession planning for BIM/CAD team.
• Oversee adherence to BH CAD/BIM standards and QA/QC requirements.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Senior BIM Modeller - Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior BIM Modeller - Infrastructure to join the Buro Happold Cities team in Bengaluru to work on some of the world’s best and most complex projects.

As a Senior BIM Modeller - Infrastructure your role will be to develop engineering calculations/ sketches into 3D models via advanced modelling tools such as Autodesk, CIVIL 3D, ACAD, Navisworks for clash detection. You will also set up, manage and coordinate your models/drawings with other engineering disciplines and will be working closely with the engineering and client teams using BIM360 or ACC.

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the BIM/CAD team and providing support and mentoring to ensure quality in project deliverables.
• Responsible for supporting retention and succession planning of BIM/CAD team.
• Oversee adherence to technical standards and meet quality control and quality assurance requirements in accordance with BH CAD Standards, specifications and BIM standards.
• Responsible for quality and managing quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• The position will involve internal client liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, winning work to achieve team utilisation and financial control of projects.
• Responsible for ensuring work is delivered to budget, programme and technical standards and meet QA & QCDirect line management, including mentoring and managing junior staff ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver.
• Helping maintain the culture and positive working environment in the team.

Your skills and experience

• A diploma or bachelor's or equivalent degree in civil engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM/CAD modelling, focusing on infrastructure projects
• The ability to produce 2D and 3D models, design and construction drawings in delivering infrastructure schemes.
• Expertise is developing BIM executions plans and implementing it using various collaboration tools like BIM 360/ACC etc
• Expertise in producing infrastructure designs/drawings such as roads, earthworks, drainage layouts, utility layouts, schedules etc.
• Expertise is in 3D clash detections tools and design coordination
• Solid knowledge of the relevant standard details in compliance with domestic and international market requirements
• Hands on experience with various automation tools and using scripts
• Expertise in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle tracking, Navisworks and BIM collaboration tools
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with no supervision
• Communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
