Qualifications

• Experience mentoring junior engineers or BIM technicians is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; BIM certifications are advantageous.
• On-site project experience with construction processes is beneficial.

Role Description

The Senior BIM Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role involves leading BIM production and coordination for engineering and construction projects, including developing and managing detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation across various disciplines. The Senior BIM Engineer will oversee BIM standards and workflows, ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements, and collaborate with design, engineering, and project management teams. Responsibilities include reviewing and resolving design conflicts, supporting clash detection and coordination meetings, mentoring junior BIM staff, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in BIM modeling and coordination using industry-standard tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar).


• Proficiency in interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and translating them into accurate BIM models.


• Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices for engineering and construction projects.


• Ability to lead project BIM activities, manage model versions, and support clash detection and issue resolution.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality in deliverables.


• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.


• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers or BIM technicians is an advantage.
