Role Description

The Sr. BIM Engineer - MEP role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata, India. The individual in this role will lead the creation, coordination, and management of BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards. Daily responsibilities include developing detailed construction drawings, performing clash detection and coordination in Navisworks or similar tools, and collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and civil teams to resolve design issues. The Sr. BIM Engineer - MEP will guide junior team members, review deliverables for quality, and support project managers and clients with technical insights and documentation. The role also involves maintaining BIM standards, workflows, and templates to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, including hands-on experience with Revit and coordination platforms.
• Ability to produce and interpret detailed Construction Drawings, with a focus on constructability, coordination, and compliance with project specifications.
• Deep expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems design and modeling within building projects.
• Foundational knowledge in Architecture and its integration with structural and MEP design in multidisciplinary BIM environments.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in leading BIM teams, mentoring junior engineers, and managing project deliverables and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with global clients and cross-functional teams.
