Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Senior BIM Coordinator to lead BIM delivery for structural projects. You will develop 3D models from sketches using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Enscape, coordinating across disciplines with project teams and clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and adherence to BIM standards. Ideal candidates have 12–15 years in BIM/structural engineering, 5+ years with Revit Structures, and a Civil Engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in BIM and structural engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Revit Structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent diploma/qualifying course.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, confident character with the ability to lead in challenging situations.
• Experience with rebar detailing and coordination across architectural, structural and MEP services.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering calculations and sketches into 3D models using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks for clash detection, and Enscape for presentation.
• Set up, manage, and coordinate models/drawings with other engineering disciplines while working closely with engineering and client teams.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to project team members on BIM authoring tools.
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
• Ensure models and drawing work adhere to industry BIM standards and established BIM execution plans.
• Maintain ownership of the model/drawing, ensuring compliance with design documentation and project requirements.
• Work independently or with minimal supervision to deliver high‑quality models and drawings.
• Conduct clash detection, resolution, and reporting to ensure coordinated design.
• Review and check compliance of models and drawings with design and project specifications.
• Develop concept ideas into detailed drawings and produce drawing/detail packages from engineering sketches and calculations.
• Generate accurate construction drawings, reinforcement drawings, and structural steel drawings that follow company standards.
• Extract data from the discipline BIM platform to support construction drawings.
• Ensure delivery of models and drawings to agreed project programmes with quality.
