Role Definition

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior BI Analyst to join our India-based analytics team supporting the Channel Business Unit. This individual contributor role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Power BI dashboards, executive reporting solutions, self-service BI assets, and business insight products that help Channel BU leaders and functional teams make faster, more informed decisions.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on experience in Power BI dashboard development, DAX, data visualization, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and data storytelling. This role requires someone who can work with curated data assets, primarily from the Databricks platform, and translate business needs into intuitive, accurate, and scalable reporting solutions.

In the near term, this role may also support select Tableau reporting and dashboard needs while helping the organization continue its transition toward Power BI and Databricks-enabled analytics. While this is not a data engineering or AI role, the Senior BI Analyst should be comfortable working with curated datasets, performing basic SQL querying, validating data, and partnering with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure business reporting is trusted, consistent, and actionable.

This role also includes informal leadership responsibilities, including coaching junior analysts, sharing dashboard development best practices, supporting peer reviews, and helping raise the overall quality and consistency of BI delivery across the team.

Based in Bangalore, India, this role will report to the India-based Data Analytics & Data Science Delivery Manager and partner closely with the NA-based Data & Analytics Product Owner, Channel BU leadership, global DIA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Power BI Development & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions supporting Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Care, Digital, Strategy, and Leadership teams.
• Build intuitive, visually compelling reports using DAX, calculated measures, filters, and best‑practice data visualization principles.
• Optimize dashboard usability, performance, and user experience while supporting recurring business and leadership reviews.

Business Insights & Data Storytelling

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop executive‑ready reporting and visualizations that clearly communicate trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Support KPI definition, reporting standards, and consistent business interpretation across functions.

Tableau Support & Reporting Transition

• Maintain and enhance existing Tableau reports while supporting migration and redesign opportunities into Power BI.
• Ensure continuity, consistency, and quality of reporting during reporting platform transitions.

Stakeholder Management & Delivery

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, define reporting solutions, and prioritize BI initiatives.
• Lead stakeholder discussions, validate outputs, present insights, and drive adoption of analytics solutions.
• Manage multiple projects independently while communicating progress, risks, and dependencies.

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor junior analysts on Power BI, DAX, visualization, stakeholder engagement, and analytics best practices.
• Promote reporting standards, reusable frameworks, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a collaborative, insight‑driven culture focused on business impact and trusted analytics.

What your background should look like

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, or related analytics roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Strong working knowledge of DAX for creating measures, calculated logic, and analytical reporting views.
• Strong data visualization skills, including the ability to design clear, intuitive, and business‑friendly dashboards.
• Experience translating business requirements into dashboard designs, reporting logic, and actionable insights.
• Ability to work with curated datasets from enterprise data platforms such as Databricks.
• Basic SQL querying skills for data exploration, validation, and reporting support.
• Experience creating executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, self‑service BI reports, and business performance reporting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data, insights, and dashboard functionality to business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
