Job summary

Valtech is hiring an Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to drive end-to-end test automation across web, mobile, API, and desktop applications. You will design scalable automation frameworks, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI-powered testing tools to boost speed and coverage.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience, expert Playwright/Python or Selenium/Java skills, and a passion for continuous learning in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and desktop applications.
• Deep understanding of STLC and ability to define end-to-end automation strategy for enterprise-scale applications.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered testing tools to improve testing speed and coverage.
• Playwright, Selenium with Python or Java for scalable automation scripts.
• CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on expertise in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and desktop applications.
• Deep understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and ability to define end-to-end automation strategy for enterprise-scale applications.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-based test generation/self-healing platforms) to improve testing speed and coverage.
• Design and implement scalable, reusable automation scripts using Playwright/Selenium with Python or Java.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for continuous testing.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and end-to-end automated testing across multiple application streams.
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to resolve defects.
• Prepare and maintain test metrics, automation coverage reports, and dashboards for stakeholder visibility.
• Explore and prototype AI/ML-driven testing use cases (predictive test selection, anomaly detection, intelligent test data generation).
