Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and technically strong Senior Automation Engineer with 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Automation, System Integration, Site Commissioning, and Project Execution. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of PLC/SCADA architectures, industrial communication networks, and on-site leadership capability.

🔧 Technical Roles & Responsibilities
PLC programming, debugging, and modification using RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000
SCADA development and configuration using FactoryTalk View SE/ME, RSView32
HMI design, alarm configuration, tag mapping, and communication setup
Development of PLC logic including Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text
Integration of PLCs with SCADA, VFDs, Remote I/Os, and third-party devices
Configuration and troubleshooting of industrial communication protocols:

Modbus (RTU/TCP-IP)
Profibus
ControlNet
Foundation Fieldbus
Ethernet/IP Networks
Handling of complete automation system architecture and network topology design
Preparation of:

I/O list and addressing
Control philosophy
Cause & Effect matrix
Functional Design Specification (FDS)
Panel wiring diagrams and GA drawings using AutoCAD
Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test)
Complete site commissioning, loop checking, field instrument validation, and system startup
Troubleshooting PLC panels, networking faults, and field-level communication errors
Client coordination and technical discussion during project execution
System backup management and documentation

👷 Leadership & Execution Responsibilities
Lead and supervise site technicians and junior engineers
Plan and execute on-site activities as per project timelines
Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical teams
Ensure safety compliance during site work
Monitor project progress and report to management
Capable of independently handling complete project execution at site

🎓 Required Qualifications
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics
3–8 years of strong industrial automation experience
Hands-on commissioning experience in manufacturing/process industries
Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation platform preferred
Willingness to travel extensively for site work

💰 Salary Package
INR15,000 – INR22,000 per month
(Based on technical expertise, commissioning experience, and leadership capability)
