ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven Industrial Automation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Software tools to join our engineering team at the Noida office. As a second-in-command, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, commission, and support Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000-based automation systems for clients across multiple industry sectors. This role offers substantial growth potential within a globally recognised automation organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PLC & Control System Programming
- Develop, test, and commission PLC programs using Rockwell’s Studio 5000 Logix Designer and RSLogix 5000/500 platforms.
- Program Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, and GuardLogix controller families.
- Write Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) code per IEC 61131-3 standards.
- Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for control systems and panels.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC faults, I/O issues, and application software defects to minimise client downtime.
HMI & SCADA Development
- Design and develop operator interfaces using FactoryTalk View SE (Site Edition) for SCADA and FactoryTalk View ME (Machine Edition) for panel HMIs.
- Build process mimic graphics, alarm/event displays, trend pages, and navigation structures in line with ISA-101 HMI design guidelines.
- Configure FactoryTalk Historian for data collection, archiving, and report generation using FactoryTalk VantagePoint.
- Develop FactoryTalk ViewPoint web-based dashboards for remote monitoring requirements.
- Maintain and improve existing SCADA applications, ensuring graphics and tags are accurate and up to date.
Industrial Communication & Networking
- Configure and commission EtherNet/IP networks, including managed switches, I/O modules, and device-level integration.
- Set up ControlNet and DeviceNet field device networks with redundancy where required.
- Implement Modbus RTU/TCP for integration of third-party devices such as drives, meters, and analysers.
- Use RSLinx Classic and RSLinx Enterprise for OPC/DDE communication and PLC connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network faults using tools such as FactoryTalk Diagnostics and Wireshark.
Project Execution & Technical Support
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Prepare and maintain technical deliverables including I/O lists, functional design specifications (FDS), cause & effect matrices, and test protocols.
- Provide commissioning and start-up support on client sites across Delhi NCR and other regions as required.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute technical input during project lifecycle.
- Support junior team members through knowledge sharing and on-the-job guidance.

ALLEN-BRADLEY HARDWARE EXPOSURE
- ControlLogix (1756 series) — primary large-system PLC platform
- CompactLogix (1769 / 5380 series) — mid-range and machine-level control
- MicroLogix (1100 / 1400 series) — small-scale standalone applications
- GuardLogix — safety PLC applications (knowledge is an advantage)
- PowerFlex Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) — 4, 40, 525, 755 series
- Point I/O, Flex I/O, and ARMOR I/O distributed I/O modules
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation engineering with a focus on Allen-Bradley / Rockwell platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in at least two complete project lifecycles — from design through to commissioning.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or water/wastewater is preferred.
- Rockwell Automation training or certification (e.g., RA University courses) is an added advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of control panel design, wiring standards, and P&ID interpretation.
