Job summary

THE Talent Keepers is seeking a procurement professional in Delhi to oversee scrap sourcing and supplier management. You will identify suppliers, lead negotiations, and manage end-to-end procurement, including delivery, payment, and compliance with onboarding requirements.

You will collaborate with plant teams to ensure quality, grading, and acceptance of material, while optimizing costs and terms with vendors across various channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal scrap procurement or equivalent industrial procurement.
• Ability to assess supplier capabilities, materials quality, and pricing.
• Knowledge of KYC, onboarding, and vendor evaluation processes.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Identify new metal scrap vendors, dealers, aggregators, and sourcing channels.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and institutional sources.
• Manage the complete scrap procurement process, from sourcing and enquiry to delivery, reconciliation, and payment.
• Conduct vendor and market visits to evaluate material quality, grades, quantity, pricing, and sourcing potential.
• Coordinate with Plant and Operations teams for material inspection, grading, quality approval, and acceptance.
• Negotiate prices, quantities, quality specifications, payment terms, and pickup/logistics conditions with vendors.
• Manage vendor onboarding and compliance, including KYC, documentation, commercial evaluation, and internal approvals.
