Job summary

Allegis Group in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Senior Associate - Commercial Contracting within the Legal service line. You will draft, review and negotiate vendor and service agreements, advise on risk and compliance, and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating with procurement and internal legal teams, supporting risk management, and training new joiners, while keeping aware of policy changes that impact contracting across the business.

Qualifications

• Law graduate with 3–5 years post-qualification experience in contract review, drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of data protection/privacy terms (GDPR/CCPA).
• Understanding of compliance concepts such as Independence and conflicts.
• Experience drafting and negotiating IP terms in contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on vendor agreements, service agreements, framework agreements, proposals and related documents.
• Act as point of contact for business/procurement teams and support the legal team.
• Understand key business risks to be managed and participate in risk management training.
• Assist with trainings for new joiners and junior team members.

• Monitor impact of policy changes on contracting and procedures.

Senior Associate - Commercial Contracting

Service Line/Sub-Business Line: Legal

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team. Part of the GDS GCO Enablement team in India, the council will work with legal/Global General Counsel’s Office (GCO) attorneys, and support business on client and vendor contracts. You will provide legal support to the business and become a trusted adviser of stakeholders (often at senior leadership level). You will be expected to assess and understand how risks can be best managed and mitigated

Your responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include the following:

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiation, finalization and advisory on vendor agreements (including statements of work and terms & conditions), Service agreements, framework agreements, proposals, sponsorship contracts, meeting, collaboration agreements and event agreements, Speaker services agreement, and other ancillary documentation, ad-hoc projects providing risk management advice in relation to each of them.
• Act as point of contact for business/procurement teams and support the legal team.
• Have a good understanding of general key business risks that need to be managed (training will be facilitated in respect of specific risk management framework)
• Assist with trainings to new joiners and junior team members.
• Coordinating with internal specialist functions including Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy and Risk Management
• Maintaining an understanding of the impact of changes in policies, organizational structure, and procedures.
