Our Institutional bank helps our largest customers move trade and capital around the region, providing our people with great opportunities to build their technical expertise and their careers.

About the Role

The Client Insights & Solutions (CIS) team develops actionable insights and solutions that help priority Institutional clients achieve their strategic objectives and manage challenges. The team supports ANZ Institutional to originate higher-returning transactions, improve cross-sell and deepen senior client engagement, and to differentiate ANZ as a leading relationship bank.

The role contributes to ANZ 2030 priorities: customer-first propositions, simplicity and productivity, resilience and strong risk management, and higher-returning growth. It does this through high-quality, insight-led work for Institutional clients, efficient delivery through the global operating model, and strong quality and risk discipline.

What will your day look like?

  • Translate complex data into clear, client-ready insights that support origination, cross-sell opportunities and senior client engagement.
  • Review financial models and client materials to ensure accuracy, quality and relevance.
  • Develop client presentations and industry campaigns that support relationship banking and product teams.
  • Partner with Relationship Bankers, Product Specialists and onshore CIS teams to understand client needs, define deliverables and drive outcomes.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder communication and proactively manage timelines and priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Relationship, Product and Business Execution teams.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously improve deliverables and client value.
  • Mentor and coach Analysts and Senior Analysts, supporting project delivery and professional development.
  • Review team outputs to ensure high-quality, client-ready standards.
  • Promote collaboration, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across Bengaluru and onshore teams.
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities and analytical tool enhancements.
  • Support a strong risk and compliance culture by adhering to ANZ policies and identifying and mitigating risks
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 6+ years in a similar or related role, preferably in Institutional Banking or Financial Services
  • Capital structuring, risk assessment and credit-rating or shadow rating experience (S&P Global, Moody's, Fitch methodologies)
  • Exposure to Debt Capital Markets and risk management products, including advising on FX, interest rate and commodity price risk
  • Preparation of pitch books, client presentations, credit papers or research reports; supporting relationship bankers and onshore or cross-border teams
  • Data analysis, visualization or process automation, and experience with financial databases and research platforms
  • Industry qualifications (e.g. CFA) are highly regarded
  • Subject matter expertise in corporate finance areas such as M&A, capital structure, liquidity and risk management, including analyzing and advising on complex transactions
  • Advanced financial modelling, with the ability to structure complex financial and industry analyses
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management, with a track record of working across locations and teams
  • Leadership capability, including coaching, quality review and managing work to successful outcomes
