We take a hands‑on approach to solving our clients' problems and assisting them in reaching their potential. The collaborative environment and engaging work—guided by A&M's core values of Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity—are why our people love working at A&M.

The Team

GESS group at A&M provides critical business support to the firm and encompasses a range of functions including Information Technology, Marketing, Information Security, Insight Centre & Knowledge Management, Corporate Real Estate, Human Resources, and Operations. GESS enables A&M’s client service delivery, go‑to‑market, risk management and growth goals as a strategic partner.

How You Will Contribute

As a member of the A&M Business Analyst you will lead requirements gathering and uphold integrity throughout the project lifecycle. In project management, the Business Analyst (BA) acts as the crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on defining what needs to be built by gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating requirements, ensuring the final solution delivers value and aligns with strategic goals. BAs define project scope, identify needs, assess risks, and translate business problems into clear requirements for the development team, preventing scope creep and ensuring project success. This role involves analyzing business processes, documenting workflows, and creating comprehensive business and functional requirements. The Business Analyst will manage requirement changes, support quality testing, and ensure solutions align with business needs by developing test cases and plans, assisting users during testing phases, and managing defect triage. Strong technical and business acumen is essential, along with the ability to translate complex information into clear, plain language for effective communication across teams. Additionally, this role requires maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, providing user training, and driving standard business processes to support successful project delivery.

  • Lead requirements analysis sessions with stakeholders to capture both functional and non-functional needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage business and functional requirements documentation, including sign‑off and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze current business processes and systems, document existing workflows, and outline future state impacts.
  • Break down high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, including quality attributes, interfaces, and constraints.
  • Identify interdependencies within the project, as well as external dependencies involving other teams, projects, and business processes.
  • Represent requirements through diagrams, prototypes, or scenarios to provide clarity and support stakeholder understanding.
  • Validate that all requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and meet organizational standards.
  • Develop test cases and plans based on approved requirements, support testing phases, and manage defect triage and enhancements.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and prioritize changes effectively across the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and global business and functional teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
  • Engage continuously with stakeholders to manage changes, provide updates, and maintain strong communication throughout the project.
  • Bridge communication gaps between business stakeholders (who want solutions) and technical teams (who build them), ensuring everyone understands the 'why' and 'what'.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business focused studies (Administration, Analytics, Management, Finance) and/or data and technology focused studies (information technology, data science, statistics, computer science or information systems), or a related field (economics or project management).
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including requirements gathering, third-party software selection, reporting, data analysis, and business process documentation.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Proven track record supporting large‑scale, complex business or technical projects including corporate functional transformations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business needs, model processes, and translate them into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Proficient in writing detailed test cases and testing documentation, as well as performing hands‑on testing to validate solutions.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts into clear, understandable language for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Experience identifying patterns and trends through data analysis.
  • Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent collaboration, relationship-building, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate efforts.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility, such as when information gathering is evolving or incomplete.
  • Energetic, proactive, self‑motivated, and independent, with a positive 'can‑do' attitude.
  • Comfortable shifting priorities and direction as needed while maintaining focus on objectives.
